Prime Minister Manuel Valls sought support for a plan to cut spending and cap taxes, saying France’s difficult economic situation calls for exceptional measures.
“To govern is to tell the truth, it is to seek confidence, especially when things are difficult,” Valls told lawmakers in parliament ahead of a confidence vote later today.
