Convicted Abuser Greg Hardy Made Inactive for NFL Panthers Game

The Carolina Panthers deactivated Pro Bowl defensive end Greg Hardy, who is appealing a conviction for assaulting his former girlfriend, an hour before their home game today against the Detroit Lions.

Hardy, 26, who played in the Pro Bowl after last season, played in the Panthers’ season opener last week and had been expected to start today against the Lions.

Hardy, who is appealing a 60-day suspended jail sentence he got in July, was one of seven players listed by the Panthers as inactive for today’s game.

Before it's here, it's on the Bloomberg Terminal.
