Longyuan Gets Approval for 170 Megawatts of Wind Farms in China

China’s biggest wind-farm developer received approval to start preliminary work on two projects in the southern province of Guangxi with a total of 170 megawatts of capacity.

China Longyuan Power Group Corp.’s Guangxi unit is planning a 60-megawatt project in Nanning city and another in Qinzhou city with 110 megawatts of capacity, according to a statement on the website of the company’s parent China Guodian Corp.

The unit has received approval for preliminary work on 300 megawatts of wind farms this year in the province.
