Liquid Light Gets $15 Million for Carbon-to-Chemicals Technology

Liquid Light Inc., a maker of technology that converts carbon dioxide into chemicals, received $15 million from new and existing investors.

Sustainable Conversion Ventures joined previous backers VantagePoint Capital Partners, BP Ventures, Chrysalix Energy Venture Capital and Osage University Partners in the Series B round, Monmouth Junction, New Jersey-based Liquid Light said today in a statement.

The financing will be used to complete the development of its process for pilot-scale manufacturing of chemicals used in plastic soda bottles and other products, according to the statement.
