Silva Leads Rousseff by 14.8 ppts in Brazil Runoff: IstoE/Sensus

Marina Silva has 47.6% voter support in Brazil election 2nd round, compared to 32.8% for incumbent Dilma Rousseff, according to Sensus poll published on website of IstoE magazine.

  • In 1st round, Silva has 29.5%, Rousseff 29.8%, Aecio Neves 15.2%, poll shows
  • Survey of 2,000 people conducted Sept. 1-4 has margin of error of plus or minus 2.2 percentage points
  • Rousseff has 39.3% voter support in 2nd round against Neves, who has 35.4%
  • NOTE: Rousseff approval rate rose to 46.3% from 40.5% in last IstoE/Sensus poll published Aug.14
  • NOTE: Rousseff disapproval rate dropped to 46.1% from 51.6%
