GDF Suez Raises 90 Million Pounds for U.K. Wind; Sells 50% Stake

GDF Suez SA, the second-largest French power producer, raised 90 million pounds ($149 million) for its U.K. wind assets and sold half its share.

GDF obtained a 14-year project-finance loan from Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ Ltd., Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corp. and Germany’s KfW, the Courbevoie-based company said today in an e-mailed statement.

It also sold 50 percent of the 70-megawatt wind assets to a fund managed by Equitix Ltd. Those include wind farms in both England and Scotland.
