Google May Be Worth $1 Trillion in 10 Years, Breyer Says

Jim Breyer, partner at venture capital firm Accel Partners, said Google Inc. could have a market capitalization of $1 trillion in 10 years.

Breyer made the comment at the CNBC Institutional Investor Delivering Alpha conference in New York today. Google, based in Mountain View, California, has gained 5.1 percent in the past year and has a market capitalization of just under $400 billion.

Accel made $6 billion from its early investment in Facebook Inc.

Breyer said he favored technology companies focusing on cybersecurity and digital currency.

“I have zero doubt that in five to seven years, we will have several multi-billion digital-currency companies,” he said.

Breyer said he would bet against companies producing wearable devices.
