Peru Approves 97-Megawatt Tres Hermanas Wind Farm, Gestion Says

Peru’s Ministry of Energy and Mines approved the 97-megawatt Tres Hermanas wind farm, according to the local newspaper Gestion.

The project in Marcona, on the southern coast, is owned by Grupo Cobra, a Spanish energy company. The company’s Peru unit didn’t immediately respond to an e-mailed request for comment. Press officials for the ministry couldn’t be reached.
