Giants’ Jon Beason Leaves Offseason Practice With Foot Injury

New York Giants linebacker Jon Beason was forced to leave today’s offseason practice session after injuring his right foot.

Beason, who re-signed with the Giants in March for $19 million over three years, came up limping after a play and was later taken by cart back to team’s locker room.

Giants coach Tom Coughlin said the injury is to the bottom of Beason’s foot and it’s not yet known how severe it is, according to the New York Daily News. Beason, who had 93 tackles over 12 games in his first season with the Giants in 2013, will undergo further tests at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York, the paper said.

The Giants are scheduled to start their National Football League training camp on July 21.
