NBA’s Utah Jazz Make Ex-Duke Player Quin Snyder New Head Coach

Quin Snyder was hired as coach of the National Basketball Association’s Utah Jazz after one season as an assistant coach with the Atlanta Hawks.

Snyder, 47, who played at Duke University in 1985-89, also has worked as an assistant for the Los Angeles Lakers, the Philadelphia 76ers and the Los Angeles Clippers.

The Jazz said in an e-mailed release that Snyder will be introduced tomorrow at a news conference in Salt Lake City. Contract details were not released.
