Giants Release Safety Will Hill After Third NFL Drug Suspension

The New York Giants released safety Will Hill after his third suspension in three years for violating the National Football League’s substance-abuse policy.

Hill appeared in 24 games, including 10 starts, with the Giants over the past two seasons and totaled 115 tackles, two interceptions, three forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries.

Hill, who was projected as a starter alongside Antrel Rolle in the Giants’ secondary this season, last week received a six-game suspension from the NFL for violating the league’s substance-abuse policy. He also received four-game bans during the 2012 and 2013 seasons.
