Infosys Co-President Srinivas Resigns Amid Search for New CEOBianca Vázquez Toness
Infosys Ltd. co-President and board member B.G. Srinivas resigned today as India’s second-largest software services exporter searches for a new chief executive officer to replace retiring co-founder S.D. Shibulal.
Srinivas oversaw units that served the insurance, manufacturing and financial-services sectors, according to the Infosys website. His resignation will take effect June 10, the Bengaluru-based company said in an e-mailed statement.
Billionaire co-founder N.R. Narayana Murthy returned as chairman last June to help revive revenue growth and has since reshuffled the company’s top management. The company now will focus on winning large outsourcing deals, he has said.
Infosys shares have fallen 9 percent this year, compared with the S&P BSE Sensex index’s 16 percent advance.
