PBF Energy’s Delaware City Refinery Reports Sulfur Emissions

PBF Energy Inc.’s Delaware City Refinery reported a release of sulfur dioxide because of a failed control valve, according to a notice on the state regulator’s website.

The refinery released about 147 pounds (66.7 kilograms) of sulfur dioxide at about 11:45 p.m. local time on April 25, according to the Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control’s website.
