North Korea has increased activity at its nuclear test site, prompting South Korea to boost surveillance of the area days before U.S. President Barack Obama arrives in Seoul.

“North Korea is at a stage where it can conduct a surprise nuclear test at any time depending on the decision of leader Kim Jong Un,” South Korean Defense Ministry spokesman Kim Min Seok said today at a briefing. The military is aware that the movement at the site could be a bluff, Kim said.
