Many high-paying occupations employ just a small percentage of workers

A recent analysis by the Bureau of Labor Statistics shows that many of the highest-paying occupations employ only a small share of the workforce. Although there are low-paying professions that make up a small percentage of overall employment, the trendline reveals a slight negative correlation: On average, the more jobs in an occupational group, the less they pay.
