Egyptian Presidential Election Is Biased Fight, Sabahi Says

Egypt’s presidential election next month may see government agencies throw their weight behind former Defense Minister Abdel-Fattah al-Seesi, according to Hamdeen Sabahi, who plans to contest the vote.

“The state cannot be neutral in a competition between a man who comes from the heart of state bodies and a man who comes from the heart of the people,” Sabahi, who came third in the 2012 vote, said in an interview in his Cairo office.
