Bosch Completes Solar Plant for India’s Sri Vinayaga

Germany’s Bosch Group has completed a 5-megawatt solar power plant for an Indian investor in southern Tamil Nadu state.

Bosch designed and built the facility for Sri Vinayaga Green Power Generation Pvt., which will sell about 7.6 million kilowatt-hours a year to third-party power consumers, according to an e-mailed statement from Bosch.

Stuttgart-based Bosch provides technology and services including automotive parts, washing machines and security systems in 150 countries, according to its website. Its India unit is building two other solar photovoltaic plants of 1-megawatt each in the states of Andhra Pradesh and Haryana.
