U.S. Subpoenas Port Authority Chairman Records, WSJ Says

U.S. prosecutors in New York have subpoenaed records related to the business interests of David Samson, the chairman of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, the Wall Street Journal reported, citing people it didn’t identify.

Samson, an ally of New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, has come under increasing scrutiny since state lawmakers and U.S. prosecutors in New Jersey began probing deliberate traffic jams last September at the George Washington Bridge. Samson attorney Michael Chertoff couldn’t immediately be reached for comment.
