U.S. Agencies Plan to Post Retail Sales, Claims Data Online

Retail sales and jobless claims data scheduled for release today will be posted online as a snowstorm in Washington has shut U.S. federal government offices, according to the departments of Commerce and Labor.

“Every effort” will be made to post the figures on the agencies’ websites around 8:30 a.m. today, spokesmen for the agencies said in e-mail messages. The Commerce Department releases retail sales data, while jobless claims figures are reported by the Labor Department.

Before it's here, it's on the Bloomberg Terminal.
