Elementa Will Sell Electricity Made From Waste to Ontario Power

Elementa Group Inc., a Canadian producer of waste-to-energy systems, agreed to sell electricity from a plant it’s building in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, to the provincial power authority.

Construction will begin this year, Garry Rawson, a company spokesman, said in a telephone interview today. Niagara-on-the-Lake, Canada-based Elementa will operate the 10-megawatt plant and sell electricity to Ontario Power Authority under a 20-year contract.

Before it's here, it's on the Bloomberg Terminal.
