Ghana Wants Prepaid Water Meters To Boost Revenue Collection

Ghana plans to introduce prepaid water meters for commercial and industrial users to monitor usage, reduce waste and boost revenue collection.

The new policy has become necessary “because of the willful non-payment of the necessary charges by a number of large-scale users of water,” Minister for Water Resources, Works and Housing Collins Dauda said in an e-mailed statement.
