N.J. Assembly Hires Blagojevich Prosecutor for Traffic Probe

The New Jersey Assembly said it retained former Assistant U.S. Attorney Reid Schar as special counsel for the committee investigating the September closing of access lanes to the George Washington Bridge.

While at the U.S. Attorney’s office for the Northern District of Illinois, Schar was lead investigator and prosecutor in the corruption trials of former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich, according to a statement from the Assembly.
