Snowfall has debilitated much of this Indian region.
relates to Kashmir's Cold Spell

The recent wave of snow, ice, and below-freezing temperatures are not exclusive to the United States.

Seven thousand miles away from Washington, D.C., where the windchill is currently 1 degree Fahrenheit, Kashmir has been inundated with snow. There are power outages, flight delays, and a shuttered national highway. Some towns have seen enough precipitation and single digit temperatures to lead residents to burn wood to unfreeze frozen pipes.
