Bottled Water Companies Closed by Health Issues, Viet News Says

Operations at 15 companies have been suspended after bottling and selling water that failed to meet health safety requirements, Viet Nam News said, citing the Central Highland Dak Lak Province People’s Committee.

Products sold under the Vita Water, Hero, Voka, Panona and Kim Anh labels have been banned from sale to avoid endangering public health after the committee found most of the companies couldn’t provide legal documents including health safety certificates to prove compliance with regulations. Some companies were processing water using unhygienic methods, the report said today without elaborating.
