Oasys Water Inc., a provider of desalination and water-treatment technologies for industrial markets, said today that it signed a sales agreement for its forward-osmosis technology with National Oilwell Varco Inc.

Under the partnership, the biggest U.S. maker of oil-field equipment will be the exclusive licensee of Boston-based Oasys’s membrane brine concentrator technology in upstream oil and gas for produced water treatment. No terms were disclosed.
