Russian 2014 Growth Forecast Cut by IMF as Inflation Persists

Russia’s economy will expand next year less than previously forecast as inflation continues to exceed the central bank’s target, the International Monetary Fund said.

Gross domestic product will rise 2 percent after a 1.5 percent increase in 2013, the Washington-based fund said today in a report. It previously projected a 3 percent advance.
