Google Plans to Expand Access to High-Speed Fiber in Uganda

Google Inc., owner of the world’s biggest search-engine, is to increase Internet speeds and capacity in the Ugandan capital Kampala through a metropolitan fiber network.

The project will allow mobile operators and Internet service providers to connect to long-distance fiber cables, the Mountain View, California-based company said today in a statement.
