Ashton Kutcher's Anti-Walmart Twitter WarBy
Wal-Mart Stores’ very bad week just got a little worse.
Ashton Kutcher, the actor and tech investor also known to 15 million followers as @aplusk, took to Twitter to criticize Walmart for its low wages.
After another tweet, Walmart was quick to respond:
That workforce would seem to include managers, too. Walmart also noted that about 75 percent of its managers started as hourly associates and that “they earn between $50,000 and $170,000 a year on average.”
And eventually, a detente of sorts:
But not before dozens of people, including Walmart employees, took to Twitter to express their own feelings about the country’s largest retailer, which has recently come under fire for, well, just about everything.
