Gulfstream G650 Jet on Billionaire Wish Lists

Gulfstream’s G650 is very fast, very popular, and back-ordered until 2017
Nov. 19 (Bloomberg) -- The Dubai Air Show has seen record orders for new planes. Bloomberg's Elliott Gotkine got a look inside the show's premier private jet: the Gulfstream G-650. It's the biggest, fastest and most expensive worldwide. (Source: Bloomberg)

Despite its $65 million price, Gulfstream Aerospace’s top-of-the-line G650 is the most sought-after private jet on the market. Built for international travel, it can fly 7,000 miles nonstop at close to the speed of sound. In October it set a speed record for an aircraft of its class, circling the globe in 41 hours, 7 minutes. Good luck getting your hands on one: Although private jet sales overall have been slow since the economic meltdown, the G650 is back-ordered until 2017.
