Apex Agrees to Sell 100 Megawatts From Oklahoma Wind-Power Plant

Apex Clean Energy Inc., the Charlottesville, Virginia-based developer of wind power, agreed to sell 100 megawatts of capacity from a project in the Oklahoma panhandle to Western Farmers Electric Cooperative Inc.

The electricity will be delivered from Apex’s 300-megawatt Balko project in Beaver County, the company said today in an e-mailed statement. Terms weren’t disclosed

The Balko project is expected to begin operations in 2015. Apex said Oct. 10 it would sell the other 200 megawatts of capacity to American Electric Power Co.’s Oklahoma unit.
