Mark Reynolds Joins Yankees After Indians’ Release, ESPN SaysNancy Kercheval
Mark Reynolds reached a deal to join the New York Yankees, ESPN reported, citing General Manager Brian Cashman.
Reynolds, who batted .301 in April, was released last week by the Cleveland Indians, who signed the infielder to a one-year, $6 million contract in December, ESPN said. His terms with the Yankees weren’t disclosed.
Reynolds is batting .215 with 15 home runs and 48 runs batted in this season, and has struck out 123 times.
Reynolds, 30, has 196 homers in seven Major League Baseball seasons with the Arizona Diamondbacks, Baltimore Orioles and Cleveland.
