Inca de Varas Seeks Permits for $100 Million Chile Solar Project

Inca de Varas I SA, the Chilean renewable-energy developer, plans to build a $100 million photovoltaic-power plant in Chile’s northern Atacama desert.

Work on the 50-megawatt project in the province of Copiapo is expected to start in March, the Santiago-based company said yesterday in a filing with Chile’s environmental licensing agency Servicio de Evaluacion Ambiental.
