Protective Life Says Johnson Resigns as Chief Operating Officer

Protective Life Corp., the insurer that struck a deal to buy Axa SA’s U.S. life unit, said Carolyn M. Johnson has resigned from her position as executive vice president and chief operating officer.

Johnson is leaving to pursue other opportunities, the Birmingham, Alabama-based company said today in a statement distributed by Business Wire.
