Medellin Wastewater Plant to Be Running by 2015, BNAmericas Says

Empresas Publicas de Medellin ESP plans to have the Bello sewage plant operating by September 2015, BNamericas reported, citing the state water utility’s head of wastewater-treatment projects.

Work on the $347 million project to boost wastewater-treatment coverage in Colombia’s Medellin river basin to 95 percent by completion and reduce the dumping of effluent in the river began in September 2012, EMP’s Carlos Enrique Munoz told the publication.
