Vital of Romania Awards Waterworks Contract to Spanish-Led Group

Vital SA, a Romanian utility, awarded a 52.7 million-lei ($16 million) contract for water and sewage works in the northwestern town of Baia Mare to a group including Spain’s Tecnicas de Desalinizacion de Aguas SA and Intreprindere de Montaj si Instalatii SA.

The utility received four bids for the contract, initially valued at 53.7 million lei, according to a notice published on the European Union’s tender website.
