Romanian Utility Awards Water Upgrade Contract to Builder Coral

The Romanian utility Cia de Apa Oltenia SA awarded a 39 million-lei ($11 million) contract for water-treatment plant upgrades in the south of the country to local construction company Coral SRL.

The contract, initially estimated at 41.5 million lei, includes water-treatment plant works in the town of Calafat, according to a notice published today on the European Union’s tender website. The utility had received a total of eight bids for the contract, according to the notice.
