Wigan Defeats Millwall 2-0 to Reach First F.A. Cup Soccer Final

Wigan defeated Millwall 2-0 to advance to the final of English soccer’s F.A. Cup final for the first time.

Shaun Maloney and Callum McManaman scored the goals at Wembley Stadium in London. Wigan’s previous best finish in the F.A. Cup was reaching the quarterfinals in 1987.

Wigan will meet defending champion Chelsea or Manchester City, who play tomorrow, in an all-Premier League final May 11 at Wembley.
