Cyprus General Market Index Drops Following Closure

Cypriot shares declined when the country’s stock market reopened following a two-week closure as the government sought to obtain a bailout from the euro area.

The Cyprus General Market Index retreated 0.5 percent to 101.56 at 10:37 a.m. in Nicosia. Cypriot equities last traded on March 15.
