Penguins Earn 13th Straight Win, Four Shy of Matching NHL Record

Sidney Crosby scored the game’s only goal as the Pittsburgh Penguins beat the Montreal Canadiens for their 13th straight win in the National Hockey League.

The Penguins need four more wins to tie the league record for consecutive victories set by the Pittsburgh team of 1992-93.

Crosby scored midway through the second period on his home ice at Consol Energy Center.

The Penguins, who have 26 wins and eight losses for 52 points, lead the Eastern Conference. Montreal (20-7-5) is fourth in the conference with 45 points.
