Suntech Power Holdings Co., the Chinese solar manufacturer with a $541 million bond due this month, named Susan Wang as chairwoman, replacing Shi Zhengrong.
Shi will remain a director, the Wuxi, China-based company said today in a statement. He was also chief executive officer until August, when he was replaced by Suntech’s chief financial officer David King. Wang has been a director since 2009.
