Alcoa Quebec Workers Accept Conciliator’s Report, Union Says
Frederic TomescoAlcoa Inc. workers at the aluminum producer’s ABI smelter in Quebec accepted a proposed five-year labor contract, the United Steelworkers union said.
The accord covers 944 workers and includes a 13 percent wage increase over the five years, the union said today in a statement on its website. The contract includes an improved healthcare insurance package, the union said.
