BTG Pactual Raises Chile’s 2013 GDP Growth Estimate to 5.5%

BTG Pactual raised its 2013 economic growth forecast for Chile to 5.5 percent from 4.8 percent on “favorable” external conditions and growing domestic demand, the Sao Paulo-based financial services company said in an e-mailed note to investors today.

Inflation will accelerate to 3.4 percent in December from 1.6 percent in January and benchmark borrowing costs will increase to 5.75 percent by year-end from today’s 5 percent, it said.
