Almunia Says Google Talks Can Reach Positive Agreement

Joaquin Almunia, the European Union’s antitrust chief, said it’s possible the EU can reach a settlement of its competition case with Google Inc.

“If all the parties” have a “constructive attitude we can reach an agreement that can be positive for everybody,” Almunia said said in an interview with Bloomberg Television’s Francine Lacqua at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. “Through our decision” it “is my purpose to create some kind of rules of the game in a sector that is not legally regulated.”

Before it's here, it's on the Bloomberg Terminal.
