Romania Nuclear Reactor Unexpectedly Shut Down, Mediafax Says

One of Romania’s two reactors at the Cernavoda nuclear power plant near the Danube-Black Sea canal was unexpectedly shut down, Mediafax reported today, citing Dumitru Dina, head of Nuclearelectrica SA, the national nuclear-power operator.

The cause of the Unit 2 shutdown hasn’t been determined yet, the Bucharest-based news service reported.
