OAO Gazprom, Russia’s state-run gas producer, plans to begin gas extraction at the Azero field in Bolivia in 2017, Interfax reported citing Vladimir Kulikov, the company’s regional manager.
The Russian company has completed talks on legal aspects of the project, the newswire said. Carlos Villegas, the chief executive officer of Bolivia’s Yacimientos Petroliferos Fiscales Bolivianos, said the contract will be signed in June, Interfax reported.
