Putin Energy Chief Sechin May Leave Government, Vedomosti Says

Igor Sechin, Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin’s deputy in charge of the energy industry, may leave his post when Putin switches jobs with President Dmitry Medvedev, Vedomosti reported, citing four unidentified government officials with knowledge of the matter.

Sechin may be replaced by Sergei Kiriyenko, currently the head of state nuclear holding Rosatom, the Moscow-based newspaper reported today.
