Gazprom to Start LNG-Plant Investment Study With Japanese Group

OAO Gazprom, the world’s biggest gas producer, agreed to start an investment study about building an liquefied natural gas plant in Russia’s Far East with a group of Japanese companies.

Gazprom Chief Executive Officer Alexey Miller met with Ichiro Takahara, the head of Japan’s Agency for Natural Resources & Energy today in Moscow to discuss the results of a feasibility study on exporting fuel from Vladivostok, the Moscow-based producer said today in an e-mailed statement.
