Russia has denied a request from OAO Rosneft, the country’s biggest oil producer, to provide tax breaks for the development of its east Siberian Yurubcheno-Tokhomskoye field, Vedomosti reported today, citing unidentified officials in the finance and energy ministries.
The government has also declined a request submitted jointly in October by OAO Lukoil, TNK-BP, OAO Gazprom Neft and OAO Bashneft to reduce the gasoline export duty because it wants the additional budget revenues, Vedomosti said.
