Simpson Signals He’s Open to Compromise on Taxes (Transcript)

Representative Mike Simpson, an Idaho Republican who sits on the House Budget Committee, said in an interview on Bloomberg Television’s “Political Capital with Al Hunt,” airing this weekend, that he favors a deficit-reduction plan cutting between $4 trillion and $6 trillion over the next decade and that while he’s “personally, fine” with $3 in spending cuts for every $1 in new revenue, he might consider a lower ratio.
