Belarusian Economy Grew 9.1% in First 8 Months From Last Year

Belarus’s economy expanded 9.1 percent in the first eight months from the same period last year, Deputy Prime Minister Sergey Rumas told reporters today in the capital, Minsk.

The country had a trade surplus of $200 million in August, Rumas said, adding that the government will run a budget deficit of no more than 1.3 percent of gross domestic product this year.
